Leysin this beautiful traditionally Swiss village is in the Ormonts valley above Aigle with panoramic views of the Rhone Valley & facing the Dents du Midi mountains. It has spectacular views but even more at the top of the cable car 2000metres the only revolving restaurant in French speaking Switzerland with 380degree views each hour with views of the most famous mountains, Mont Blanc, Mattterhorn & Eiger.
The village is very much lived in all the year round with a resident population of around 6000 people including 3 International colleges and 14 hotels, unlike many ski resorts Leysin remains alive and open with excellent restaurants, shops and fitness centre, indoor tennis & squash courts, swimming pool, ice rink.
Leysin is close to Geneva an easy 1.15 minutes drive or a train direct up via Aigle with its vineyards.
In winter a navette runs every 30 minutes linking to Les Mosses
